On Saturday April 18, 2026, the Speak UP Empowerment Foundation, Inc., (501.c.3), Sullivan International, Inc., & the Long Beach Community Improvement League will celebrate a significant milestone by hosting its 10th Annual Ms. Single Mom Empowerment Forum at the Long Beach Airport Marriott Hotel.
Held in the Grand Ballroom, the empowerment forum is FREE for Single Moms to register & attend - and is an annual pre-Mother's Day gift to our community. All single parent residents, especially Single Moms who reside in the Greater Long Beach area, Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernadino County, Antelope Valley, and San Diego County communities are welcome and invited to attend... and tell a friend! The SUEF, Inc. mentor coaching team will accept new mentor/coach requests onsite. |

Speak Up Empowerment Foundation Founder and President, Robbie N. Butler, was amongst several dignitaries who received a 2025 Villager Award from the AfraGlam Global Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s. organization. The Villager Award goes to individuals who consistently lift up others in the village as they climb. We extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Gloria Willingham-Toure' & her team for this esteemed recognition and distinguished honor.
Ms. Butler's 2025 accolades also include receiving the June 2025 "Soror Spotlight" special recognition from the Rolling Hills Palos Verdes Alumnae Chapter (RHPVAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she is a current member and the Social Action Committee Co-Chair. |

SUEF, Inc. Community Engagement - Summer Health & Wellness Series
The Speak Up Empowerment Foundation, Inc. partnered with All Colors One Love & Project Optimism to host our 2025 Summer Essay Contest & Bicycle Giveaway, which was then followed by Pickleball Lessons & Ice Cream. The event furthered the Long Beach TNP Peace Initiative, and was a day filled with fun, mental & emotional relaxation, and winning!
On Thursday August 7th, we worked as a unit to demonstrate that it's more fun to play together & win, instead of hating each other & fighting. Empower our youth to succeed and we can build a sustainable future!!

We began the Summer by partnering w/AATCLC & Finishing the Fight to host our initial health & wellness workshop on June 7th. It was aptly titled, "Why Are You Targeting ME?" and highlighted the predatory marketing practices used by the tobacco industry and directed towards African American & BIPOC communities.
The teens in attendance experienced an eye-opening interactive educational workshop and learned much more than they could have ever expected. Thank You so very much to our partners: Finishing the Fight, Ursula Institute, Faithful Central Bible Church, Long Beach Health Dept, and Storm Burgers-Inglewood for your support!!

Our newest 2025 community supporter, the Montford Point Marine Association, Chapter 8 made a generous holiday toy donation to SUEF, Inc. just in time for us to to make a significant impact within our service area! Their gesture of generosity helped put smiles on the faces of many Single Moms and their children... Thank You!

Women Blessing Women invited SUEF, Inc. to participate in their 5th Thanksgiving holiday shopping spree to promote food security for many Single Moms. And our moms were included as Faithful Central Bible Church hosted the Magic Johnson's Holiday Hope 2023 community food & gift distribution event for families in need of a helping hand.
