An audience of approximately 150 were in attendance at the 2016 Ms. Single Mom Empowerment Forum to experience our strong commitment to community, diversity, education, and economic empowerment for Single Mothers. The FREE community event included two fabulous panels with morning and afternoon expert speakers; media coverage; and the urban literacy super hero Dangerman stopped by.

FREE childcare was provided and there were also exciting giveaways.  The day was capped with a relaxing De-Stress Center which provided the attendees with various pamper services: makeovers, mini massages, skincare tips, & fitness exercise demos.   Click Here & DONATE to the upcoming 2017 Ms. Single Mom Empowerment Forum

The 2016 event celebrated Robbie Butler’s “Ms. Single Mom – Yes, You Can!” self-help guide (www.ms-singlemom.com) because of the book’s focus on encouragement, education, and empowerment – a movement to strongly remind all single mothers that “Yes, You Can!” even when the odds say No, You Can’t.  Each event attendee was given a complimentary copy of the book (now available in both English and Spanish).

The empowerment forum event is 100% sponsor-driven and we sincerely thank our 2016 SPONSOR TEAM for their overwhelming generosity – both financial and in-kind. Sponsor support ensured that each attendee received an awesome gift bag filled with great products and valuable resources; extremely useful information and additional education via professional speakers; and, an increased sense of true empowerment!!  FACT: With the proper resources & support YOU can be the SUCCESS that WE envision!!!

The 2016 luncheon featured a salute to Los Angeles County’s 4th District Supervisor Don Knabe for implementing the Safe Surrender program; and three (3) Outstanding Community Leaders were honored for continuously demonstrating a dedication to the empowerment of other young women – Dr. Karen Guinn, DDS (The Smile Agency); Ms. Pam Davis (Skin Essence by Pam); and Ms. Jeanetta Phillips (formerly of Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles). Congratulations Community Empowerment Leaders – continue to empower the SUCCESS that you envision in others!
