About the Company...

The Speak Up Empowerment Foundation, Inc. 501(c) (3) organization was created in 2015 and provides resource connections, growth based training, and support for single parent families, in particular those families headed by a single mom, based in Greater Long Beach, Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We consider a single mom to be a woman who has children; and, either she never married, is divorced, or widowed.  

The SUEF mission is a three (3) part, responsive, strength-based approach of education, encouragement and empowerment designed to uplift and remind single mothers that “Yes, You Can!” even when the odds say “No, You Can’t!”

SUEF’s core competency is its connection to, and participation in, a comprehensive network of responsive community-based mental and physical health, education, employment and training, housing, nutrition, financial and other resource partnerships, which it can effectively bring to bear to empower its target populations.
 
We promote “empowered” parenting skills; high quality physical, mental, emotional health & wellness; and financial literacy & sufficiency designed specifically for families headed by a single parent, particularly those of underserved and under-resourced communities through wraparound support services, information, referrals, advocacy, and follow-up.

Our Mentor Program provides mentoring to families that are headed by a single parent, particularly in communities that are under served and under resourced. Our outreach programs also promote socialization among single parents, their families, friends, and communities. 

​SUEF, Inc. conferences, workshops, seminars, and special events provide information and resources to improve the quality of life in single parent headed households.
